How do I start designing my custom home?
Start with a conversation. We'll learn how you live, your must-haves and your budget, then walk you through our signature plans (or your own architect's drawings) and the homesites available. From there we refine the design together, and you personalize finishes at our in-house design center and preferred vendor design studios.
What if I don’t already have land or a lot?
That's where many of our clients begin. Suwanee Preserves offers 22 homesites from 0.51 to 0.62 acre in South Forsyth County. If you already own land elsewhere, we're happy to evaluate it with you.
How long does it take to build a custom home?
Timing depends on the home's size, design complexity, finish selections, permitting and weather. Before you commit, we'll share a project-specific schedule, and we'll keep you updated at every milestone along the way.
What are the advantages of building a custom home?
Everything is designed around your life rather than a generic spec: the layout, room sizes, light, materials and technology. You also get a brand-new home built to current codes, with the craftsmanship and attention to detail KR is known for.
Can I bring my own floor plan?
Yes. You can start from one of our Suwanee Preserves plans and personalize it, or bring your own architect's plan and we'll review it for your homesite.
Are basements and pools available?
Basement options and private backyard pools are available on suitable homesites at Suwanee Preserves, subject to site conditions and approvals. Our team can tell you which homesites support each option.
Where do you build?
We build across North Georgia, including Cumming, Dahlonega, Buford, Alpharetta and metro Atlanta, and we serve clients in North Carolina.
